... my beautiful, younger, half-sister. I struggle to maintain a connection with Charlotte. There's a 17 year age gap. I love her and I'll always be here for her. But we're almost a generation apart...
This post interested me. Our mutual chum Emma was an only child until she was 23. Now she has four siblings, two are younger than her own daughter. Must be an interesting experience.
the reason I struggle so much with Charlotte is that we didn't grow up together and rarely saw each other during that time. Even now we see very little of each other as she's my father's daughter.
I went on holiday with her and some of her friends last year and although we had fun and got on really well it just reinforced the age difference between us. I'm sure for her it was like having a parent/chaperone tagging along. And for my part I *felt* like their mother!

I like your posts...can't wait for more. Also, thumbs up on trying to "give less of a shit." Not a bad idea.
Ahhh, thanks Stiltwalker.
I'm already really enjoying this. And it's fascinating to see this grow.
